Santa Rosa Majolica "Still Life" Sugar Bowl

Santa Rosa Majolica

The still life motif on this hand-painted Santa Rosa sugar bowl evokes the Renaissance origins of the majolica ceramics tradition.  Majolica ceramics originated in fifteenth-century Italy and was brought to Mexico during the Colonial period, where it is still produced extensively.  The artisans of Santa Rosa employ the most traditional majolica techniques in the production of these beautiful pieces.

This sugar bowl measures almost 6" high by approximately 3 3/4" in diameter (not including the handles), and is completely food safe.  Hand wash only.
